Fireside singing for groups

I want to share the sacred joy of singing together.

It's ancient. It's powerful. It's meaningful in a way few things are. When we sing together we share our breath, our vibrations, our consciousness the benefits are endless. There's no deeper way to connect with one another, and with the land and plants around us. We choose the herbs that nourish us and drink in their energy as we sing.

Singing has been a cure for me. I want it to be that for you too.

I'm Elin, a Welsh singer-songwriter, group singing leader, and one half of elinacarys (signed to a record label, played by Cerys Matthews on BBC Radio 6, Track of the Week on Radio Cymru, and supported by BBC Horizons). I also co-founded The Wren Revival a community-revived winter ritual in Oswestry that I run each year with my friend Meg. Last winter brought over 200 people together to sing, dance a twmpath, and reconnect with old folk traditions.

I now bring this work to private gatherings — fireside singing experiences for groups, hen dos, milestone birthdays, retreats, women's circles, and any occasion that wants to feel like more than a night out.

What a session with me looks like:

You arrive and settle in with a mug of herbal tea, honey, apple cider vinegar, and herbs you choose yourself. I'll tell you what each one does for body, mind, and voice. Grab a hot chocolate or a glass of red if you'd rather. Chocolate to share. Time to chat.

Then, when it feels right, I'll gently lead the group in songs and rounds, simple to learn, deeply satisfying when sung all together. I'll share the stories behind each one: where it came from, who wrote it, the folklore woven into it.

In between, I might sing for you with my guitar. And if the group fancies it, we can weave in a little calming breathwork, mindfulness, or gentle stretching.

What's included:

  • A herbal tea ceremony with herbs you choose

  • Welsh and English and beyond folk songs taught by ear, no music reading needed

  • Stories and folklore behind each song

  • Solo singing on guitar by the fire

  • Optional breathwork, mindfulness, and gentle movement

  • (Half day only) An outdoor walk, herbal tea making, and singing in nature before we settle by the fire
